বিভিন্ন ধরনের টুল
প্রিমিয়ারের টুলবক্সে (এখানে সিএস ৪ ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে) মোট ১১টি টুল পাবেন। যখন যে কাজ করা প্রয়োজন তখন সেটি সিলেক্ট করে নেবেন। এদের পরিচয় এবং কাজ হচ্ছে;
Selection tool
একটি ক্লিপ সিলেক্ট করা, তাকে সরানো এবং অন্যান্য কাজের সময় এই টুল ব্যবহার করবেন। এই টুল ব্যবহার করে যে ক্লিপের উপর ক্লিক করবেন সেটা সিলেক্ট হবে। ক্লিপের শুরুতে বা শেষে ড্রাগ করে ক্লিপ বড়-ছোট করা যাবে।
Track Select tool
একটি ভিডিও বা অডিও ট্রাক সিলেক্ট করার জন্য এই টুল ব্যবহার করবেন। যে ক্লিপে ক্লিক করবেন সেই ক্লিপ সহ পরবর্তী ট্রাকের সবগুলি ক্লিপ সিলেক্ট হবে। প্রথম ক্লিপে ক্লিক করলে সেই ট্রাকের সবগুলি ক্লিপ সিলেক্ট হবে।
Ripple Edit
একাধিক ক্লিপ ব্যবহারের সময় মাঝের কোন ক্লিপের সময় কমালে (বা বাড়ালে) দুধরনের অবস্থা হতে পারে। পরের ক্লিপগুলি অপরিবর্তিতভাবে থেকে যাবে, অথবা পরিবর্তনের সাথে মিল রেখে নতুন অবস্থানে যাবে। রিপল এডিট ব্যবহার করে কোন ক্লিপে পরিবর্তনের সাথে সাথে পরবর্তী ক্লিপগুলিও তারসাথে মিল রেখে নতুন অবস্থানে যাবেন। যেমন কোন ক্লিপের সময় ২ সেকেন্ড কমালে পরবর্তী ক্লিপগুলি ২ সেকেন্ড এগিয়ে এসে সেই যায়গা পুরন করবে। একইভাবে কোন ক্লিপ মুছে দিলে অথবা নতুন ক্লিপ যোগ করলেও পরবর্তী ক্লিপগুলি তারসাথে মিল রেখে পরিবর্তিত হবে।
Rolling Edit
রিপল এডিট এর বিপরীত অবস্থা। এই টুল ব্যবহার করে কোন ক্লিপের ২ সেকেন্ড সময় কমালে আগের কিলপগুলি নিজস্ব অবস্থানে থাকবে। ফলে ২ সেকেন্ডের একটি ফাকা যায়গা তৈরী হবে।
Rate Stretch
এই টুল ব্যবহার করে ড্রাগ করে কোন ক্লিপের সময় কমবেশি করা যাবে। ক্লিপ টেনে লম্বা করলে সেটা ধীরগতিতে (স্লোমোশান) চলবে এবং ছোট করলে গতি বেড়ে যাবে।
Razor
ক্লিপের নির্দিষ্ট যায়গা কেটে বিভক্ত করার জন্য ব্যবহার করবেন। যেখানে ক্লিক করবেন সেখানে ক্লিপটি বিভক্ত হবে।
Slip
প্রতিটি ক্লিপের ইন এবং আউট পয়েন্ট বলে একটি বিষয় থাকে। ক্লিপ পুরোটা ব্যবহার করলে শুরু থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত, আর মুল ক্লিপের শুরু এবং শেষের কিছু বাদ দিয়ে ব্যবহার করলে যতটুকু ব্যবহার করা হয় ততটুকু। স্লিপ টুল ব্যবহার করে ড্রাগ করলে সময় থিক রেখে একইসময়ে ইন এবং আউট পয়েন্ট পরিবর্তন হয়।
Slide
স্লাইড টুল ব্যবহার করে কোন ক্লিপে ড্রাগ করে বামে বা ডানে সরালে অন্য ক্লিপগুলি তারসাথে মিল রেখে পরিবর্তিত হবে।
Pen
মুলত কন্ট্রোল পয়েন্ট তৈরীর জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Hand
টাইমলাইন বামে বা ডানে সরানোর জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।
Zoom
টাইমলাইনকে বড়-ছোট করে দেখার জন্য। নির্দিষ্ট যায়গা ড্রাগ করলে শুধুমাত্র সেই যায়গাটুকু দেখা যাবে। সরাসরি ক্লিক করলে জুমইন (বড়) কিবোর্ডে অলট চেপে ক্লিক করলে জুম আউট (ছোট) হবে।
